We've recently made the transition from Ian's first stroller to this one. Ian can certainly hold his head steady now, so he enjoys looking forward on walks. Out little man still has some growing to do before he outgrows this one.
"The Bumbo seat helps me work on my core muscles (especially for sitting on my own in the near future), but I still get tired and need to lean on the sides occasionally."
No...Ian did not encounter his first electrical outlet. He is just trying out some new options to see which hair style gets him the most compliments.

Grammy graciously offered to watch Ian on Friday night so Kim and I could enjoy going to Carrabba's for dinner. As you can see, Grammy and Ian had so much fun together, they even decided to work on some Macarena dance moves. Thanks for making the "date night" a reality, Grammy.

Kim and her mom did a great job of decorating the walls in the play/toy room. They even figured out an easy way to hang quilts on the wall.
Kim spent some time today (Saturday) scrapbooking Ian's third month highlights and accomplishments.
Spider mites got the better of the plants that used to sit here in our kitchen. Kim and her mom found some great deals on plants and coordinating pots to spruce up the window seat.
It is never too early to teach Ian the art of chopping onions. Random fact: babies cannot fully differentiate good smells from bad smells until they are two years old.
Ian can really hold his head high while experiencing tummy time. Ian's favorite tummy time partner is the green quilt that Grandma Schleicher made for him (here displayed with a white burp rag to catch any spit-up Ian gets rid of).
Ellen and Grammy are working hard to maintain eye contact with Ian, but he seems more interested in the couch design.
Ian is sporting his red "Little Hero" firefighting shirt. It is fun to think about all the possible careers Ian might seriously consider someday.
Well...actually it is Ian ON the table. Meal time is getting more and more fun each day.
Thanks, Paul and Kristy, for the suggestion to try the Bumbo chair at this stage of development. Because Ian can support his head with his strong neck muscles, he will really be able to work on strengthening those core muscles by sitting in this chair over the next few weeks. You also notice that Ian has recently started holding his hands together.
Ian's first pair of shoes are Nike's. Gotta love shoes you can grow into. Thanks for the generous gift, Uncle Jon.

This is Ian's sad face. Kim and I are biased, but we think that even his sad face is pretty cute.
Ian enjoys looking at himself in the mirror when he is engaging in tummy time.
"He has such big feet and long toes" is a comment we hear quite a bit these days. God is certainly enabling Ian to grow.
As he was cooing yesterday, Ian stated that he enjoys all of the books that Mommy and Daddy read as well as all of the songs they sing or play throughout the day. Daddy enjoyed explaining the art of sleeping in a "big kid" bed after reading the words on these pages.
Before Jenn came over this week to take some cute pictures of Ian with her stellar camera, Kim and I got Ian warmed up with a few outfits and poses of our own. Here, Ian is attempting to flex his bulging muscles.

Ian has a few things to learn about selecting Hide-&-Go-Seek hiding spots. Here, he has only successfully hidden his mouth and chin.
Lauren and Chris came over for dinner and board games on Thursday night. Mommy and Daddy look forward to teaching Ian "Blokus" and "MadGab"(the games of choice on Thursday).
