Okay. More catch up. We'll get there eventually. :) The plan is to make these posts into a blog book someday, so I don't want to skip anything. Here are some random pics that don't really fit with any other event ...
The boys were obsessed with this pom-pom drop project earlier this year. I think I got the idea from the
Hands On: As We Grow blog. I LOVE that website (thanks, Amaloo!). The boys had fun designing their own pom-pom drops with toilet paper tubes and painters tape and then testing them with hundreds of pom-poms. They had to do some creative problem-solving and track redesign when there were back-ups. A very fun, easy idea!
We had a couple of games nights with Jon and Chelsea early this year, too. Jon taught us the fun game King of Tokyo. Even Nathan was interested in learning! :)
Ian's kindergarten class had a "Dads and Donuts" morning. Matt took Ian to school and then enjoyed some doughnuts together. Ian had designed a super cute "superhero picture frame" for Matt.
We finally went to "The Tire Park" (Matheson Park in Tomball). We had been hearing for years that it's some kids' favorite park in the area. It certainly didn't disappoint. The boys liked this big pile of tires, the "wibbly wobbly bridge," and the zip line best.
Mid-April we got some hail. It was the largest hail that either Matt or I had ever seen -- about shooter marble/quarter size. Ryan was a little nervous as he heard it pelting against the side of the house, but Ian was really intrigued. They both wanted to go outside to touch it, taste it, and play with it once the storm stopped. Like most other families, our roof sustained some hail damage. In the next few weeks, we (like most other families) will be getting a new roof. We're thankful for insurance!

I love that pom pom drop idea, too. We've never tried it... Did the boys drop anything else (other than the pom poms) down their tubes? It's like you created your own children's museum exhibit in your house! :)
