PLAY DOUGH -- Ian has discovered play dough! My friend, Carrie, suggested letting him experiment with it ... and, sure enough, he loves it! He most enjoys having Momma roll it into balls so he can squish it into "coins." Here, he's playing with some homemade play dough at the children's museum.
CHORES -- Ian absolutely loves to be involved with any chore we're doing around the house (or yard!). Matt and I were wondering how Ian would occupy himself while we did some much-needed yard work one afternoon. We shouldn't have been worried. He "weeded" and "raked" right along with us and especially loved being right by Daddy. His current favorite indoor chore is setting the table. He gets very excited about putting the plates, silverware, and cups on the table!
STRUMMING HIS "GUITAR" (while wearing his fireman hat!)
Q-TIPS
Soon after this picture was taken, Ian walked into the kitchen asking for the lighter. Apparently (hopefully??) he was thinking the Q-tips looked like candles. :)
SAYING HIS PRAYERS
SPENDING TIME WITH MELISSA -- It was fun watching Ian interact with a 5-year-old. He absolutely adored her and wanted to copy her every move during the few hours she spent with us. She was a great "big sister" to him, too!

"READING"
GETTING TALKING MAIL -- Ian was fascinated by the tape Aunt Amy and Uncle Jason sent to him. Amy read him some nursery rhymes, and Jason sang him some songs on the tape. He kept wanting to hear it again and again and stood by the stereo the entire time. Throughout the rest of the day, he'd repeat random parts of their message -- "We miss you," "good day," and "rum-pa-pum-pum"

I can't believe how much he's talking! What a cutie! "The End"--that book looks like lots of fun
Henry is just getting into playdough - I made some "strawberry" playdough last weekend (using jello) and we've been making playdough trains all week! :)
