Fun From Montana!

Finally getting caught up on some old blog posts! :)

We were thrilled to have Amy (Kim's sister), Jason (Matt's brother) and their sweet twin boys, Jaden & Cody, visit us in late October/early November. We stayed home a lot of the time, chatting, playing games, and letting the boys play together. But we did plan one or two little outings each day! It was easy to think of things that we could do together ... we just thought of things that our boys like doing!

One day, we went to Bouncin' Bears. Cody seemed to be just as big of a fan of the "big pillow" as our boys are!

Whee ... Uncle Jason and Cody zoomed down the slide!
The littlest ones enjoyed their time in the "toddler section."
Ryan and Ian got a big kick out of playing "Ring Around the Rosie" on the big pillow. Thanks, Jaden and Uncle Jason, for playing with us!

One morning, we checked out the Woodlands Children's Museum. Everyone LOVED it -- one of the trip highlights for the boys, probably! It was rare that all four boys were playing something together, like they are here in the rubber mulch pit. Mainly, we divided and conquered. :)
Matt showed Jaden a few of the puppets,
though all three little boys' FAVORITE exhibit was the gigantic light bright. We adults spent quite a bit of time collecting the light bright pieces that were chucked onto the ground. Ha!

Aunt Amy and Ian did some experimenting with gears together. This was probably Ian's favorite exhibit this time.
The TX Schleicher boys spent quite a bit of time at the train table as well.

Here, Jaden and Ryan play together.
Ryan patiently pushed the cars all the way along the track under Aunt Amy's watchful eye.
Kim got to spend some time with Cody in the toddler area. He didn't need ANY help getting up and down the slide, but Kim had to make sure he didn't bonk his head while ducking under the wooden piece.
The MT Schleicher boys enjoyed splashing in the water table,

though their favorite exhibit may have been the pretend play kitchen. What hard workers! :)

Ryan did a few dishes, too!

One afternoon, we wanted to show the MT Schleichers where we go on almost-weekly bike rides when the weather is nice. We paused for a pic on the bridge ...
... and then fed the turtles some old bread! So sad that the water is so murky!
The boys may have eaten as much bread as they threw in! ha!

Then, we took a stroll along the gully to enjoy the weather!
What a good looking family, huh? We love these guys!!

After seeing the turtles, we stopped by McDonald's. Grammy and Papa had sent money for each boy to pick out an ice cream treat. Ian loved his ice cream cone.
Cody eagerly ate his ice cream, too ...
... as did Jaden!
Ryan wasn't a huge fan of his ice cream for some reason but drank a huge portion of Matt's chocolate shake. :)

One morning, Amy and Kim took the boys to a local park. Kim enjoyed every moment but didn't even think to take out her camera. Somehow the mother of twins was able to capture a few shots. (Just one of the MANY times that Kim was in complete awe of how Amy juggles the boys and other responsibilities!)
The boys loved swinging, sliding, and going on a walk at Meyer Park.

One afternoon, we went to Ian's preschool (when class wasn't in session) so Ian could give a thorough tour of his classroom. It was fun to see the things that he thought were important to point out to Amy and Jason ...
... like the day he was going to be Happy Helper. :)
He wanted to show them the trikes he likes to play with during recess.
The three little boys didn't mind playing on the playground either. :)
our attempt at a cousin picture ...
Love you guys!! Thanks for coming to see us! A few more posts to come of our time together ...
