Learning with Grammy and Papa

Grammy and Papa came to visit for a few days before they left on their trip. Ian had fun learning all sorts of new skills and information. Here, Grammy is explaining to Ian that Daddy's walk-behind push mower needs to go so there is room in the garage for this mower.
Momma also took advantage of some "teachable moments." Momma is explaining that really cool race cars actually have two steering wheels like this one shown.

Grammy is explaining the science behind the bubble staying attached to the bubble wand.
Papa captured this lizard. Even though Daddy is holding this green bucket, Papa is teaching Ian the art of holding buckets on their sides to make trapped lizards feel like they have a shot at escaping.
"Push me higher, Papa." Ian
Papa is teaching Ian that staring at your right hand while swinging tends to reduce friction and prolongs the time that the swing will stay in motion.

After the lessons on the swing, Papa and Ian moved to the sand box. Papa is counseling Ian on the art of leaving impressions in the sand while using the plastic yellow circle.
Grammy is helping Ian understand how to reach maximum speed while sliding.

"So, I'm only supposed to use the yellow foot/hand holds, Grammy??" Ian
Ian (and Momma & Daddy) really enjoyed having Grammy and Papa visit. As you can see, Ian is learning new things each day. Daddy taught Ian to sleep with one leg up in the air (or propped on the crib slats) in order to more easily dream about chocolate and pizza.

Momma found out about the link between the sleeping with one foot in the air and chocolate/pizza-filled dreams--let's just say she is trying her hardest to counteract Daddy's instruction in this area.
