Ian loved pointing out the trucks ("guck") and cars ("ck-ck") whizzing by whenever we stopped for gas or at a rest area!
Ian was also thrilled that it was raining during one of our stops ... and that it had been raining long enough that there were puddles!
Kim's Uncle Mark and Aunt Kathy (along with their daughter, Laura, and family) were staying at their condo in Camdenton, MO, over the July 4th weekend... which was right along the way to Jefferson City!!! We were so excited to be able to see them! Ian was fascinated with Chloe (a few months older) and she seemed equally fascinated, as the youngest in her family, to have someone even younger around!
Uncle Mark took Ian on his first-ever boat ride!!
Ian started the ride by imitating the motor sound (buzzing his lips)
... and then promptly fell asleep!
Matt and I enjoyed the ride --
-- and seeing the mansion Mark & Kathy are planning to buy. (Well ... maybe if they win the lottery!)
They fixed us a fantastic dinner before we had to be on our way. Chloe made sure Ian didn't leave any food on his plate.
