and then to Harvard, IL ...

Our next stop was Harvard, IL (just under an hour from Wauconda) to see some dear friends -- Dave, Elizabeth, and their son, Henry! We've been missing our game-playing friends ever since they moved from Texas three years ago! It was fun to catch up, see their house & schools, and meet their sweet (incredibly bright!) little boy. Ian and Henry became fast friends and almost immediately began digging together.
Ian loved Henry's big whale swimming pool and especially liked sticking his face in.
Both boys started calling each other by name -- "een" and "en-y."
After swimming, it was time for MORE water fun in the bath!
After church on Sunday, Dave showed Matt how to make "stomp rockets."
After a demonstration from Henry, Ian wanted to take a turn at shooting off the rocket.
He needed a little help from Daddy ...
but then the rocket took off.

Thanks so much for the games, laughter, and fun times together, Dave, Elizabeth, and Henry! You made us feel right at home! Now it's your turn to come see US! :)
