Picking berries

We enjoyed getting back into our tradition of Family Fun Fridays this summer. (Matt gets most Fridays of the summer off ... what a treat!) Two Fridays in June involved berry picking! One Friday, Matt and Ian went blackberry picking together. Then, after Ryan's nap, Ryan and Kim met up with them at the Woodlands Children's Museum.

The next Friday, our family went blueberry picking together. Our friends Aliceson & Kyle told us about a new blueberry farm they tried -- Pioneer Blueberries. The bushes were lots shorter than the ones at Morehead, which meant easier picking for our boys. Ian enjoyed having his very own basket, and even Ryan did a fair share of picking. Both boys love the taste of blueberries!

I think berry picking will remain in our must-do summer fun list for years to come! :)
