Family Comes to Visit!

We were blessed to have family come to visit us during the end of May & beginning of June! (Yes, we are super behind in blog posts! Ha!) Amy and Jason came out to see us for 1.5 weeks surrounding their cruise, and Jon and Chelsea came out at the same time to start shopping for houses. Here are a few pics of our time together:

Jason with his sweet boys! (Jaden, Cody)

Cody, Matt, and Ryan at our train table

Aunt Chelsea playing Spot It with Ian

Ring Around the Rosy

Hullabaloo game -- Uncle Jon, Ian, Kim, and Aunt Chelsea

playing piano! (Yes, quite a few activities while the three toddlers were together involved one or more boys crying. Ha!)

Ian loved playing Guess Who with Aunt Chelsea

Jaden and Cody enjoyed closing themselves into our laundry room :)

Aunt Amy leads the boys in some block-building

Uncle Jon heads up another game of Hullabaloo

puddle jumping!

I love this pic ... everyone is happily occupied and perfectly color-coordinated. :)

I came in while Amy and Jason were leading their boys in their bedtime routine one evening. So precious!

Uncle Jason read Ian devotions after breakfast one day!

While Jaden and Cody were in Texas, they celebrated their two-year-old birthday. We planned a special trip to the beach, though I'm not sure they were huge fans of the sand or water.  :) Everyone seemed to enjoy the ferry ride, though, and Uncle Jason was especially good at spotting porpoises swimming in front of the ferry.

We went to Stewart Beach after the ferry ride. Ian thought it was super fun to feed the seagulls by throwing crackers up into the air.

what a great-looking family!

Uncle Jason took Ian into the water to do some wave-jumping!

It cracked me up that Jaden walked on his heels whenever he was on the sand. I guess he didn't like the feel of the sand on his toes. Hilarious!

Ryan, on the other hand, couldn't get enough of the sand and much preferred digging in it and pushing vehicles to splashing in the water.

The twins were good in the water as long as they were being held.

Everyone liked lunch :)

One of our handsome Godsons, Jaden :) What a sweet little face!

Aunt Amy did a good job flying the kite ... at least for short periods of time!

Happy birthday, Jaden!

Happy birthday, Cody!

We enjoyed getting to watch the boys open and play with their presents from us!

Some of our time together was a little chaotic ... but definitely fun and memorable! Thanks for coming to Texas, dear family! :)
