We've taken advantage of Matt's three-day weekends to do some fun family activities. One Friday, we went blueberry picking at Moorhead's Blueberry Farms. It was a perfect whole-family activity and seems even better with each passing year. Ryan was very motivated to pick (and eat) for the first half-hour or so. Then, he enjoyed just wandering around. Ian stayed VERY focused the whole 1.5 hours we were there. All together, our family picked over 16 pounds of delicious berries.

Ryan's bucket was mainly empty the whole time, as the majority of berries went directly into his mouth. :) |

Ian created a little "hideout" underneath some of the bushes and asked Momma to come pick berries in the hideout. |

Another weekend, we went to ride the train at Zube Park. It's been almost two years since we've been there, and Ian didn't remember it at all. There were quite a few other people there, so we had to wait a while in line. But it was certainly worth it. Both boys were SO excited to ride the train, and Matt and I were impressed (once again) at how long the (free!) ride is.
We love summer! :)

Wow, I'm impressed that little Ryan was focused for so long at your berry picking outing! What are your plans for all your berries? Just freeze and eat? Or do you have some recipes that you enjoy?
